The Charleston Gaillard Center is prepared to meet every need for your event. We take considerable pride in making sure the time you spend with us in our state-of-the-art facility is time well spent.

In our exhibition space, we have ballroom space, conference rooms and meeting rooms to meet the size and scope of any event – from a small reception to hosting a national convention. The skilled, talented staff at the Charleston Gaillard Center ensure everything happens behind the scenes so the spotlight is focused on your successful event. We walk you through every step from the day you book to the moment your last guest walks out our door. We want a smooth and seamless operation before, during and after your event.

What type of events do you host?

Meetings, Conferences, Exhibitions, Social Galas, Weddings, and Festivals. We are a multi-purpose center and located in the heart of historic Charleston.

What size group does your meeting space accommodate?

The Grand Ballroom can host over 1,000 attendees. The salons can accommodate groups of as small as 5, and up to 100 guests.

What’s included in the rental price?

Unlike many centers, we offer included in addition to the meeting space, the tables, chairs, a basic linen, and an event manager to oversee your event’s needs.

Do you have audio visual services available for rent?

We have a very talented and experienced A/V team and a wide variety of affordable options to make your event spectacular.

Do you have event parking?

We have a city garage adjacent to our building with over 500 spaces. We offer a flat fee parking rate for all contracted events.

Do I need to purchase insurance for my event?

Yes, all events need to have insurance. We can assist you in purchasing this coverage through the Gaillard at a very reasonable price.

Are there restaurants and hotels in walking distance to the center?

Yes, the center is in the heart of historic Charleston and there are a number of hotels and restaurants close to the center.

Can the building host a trade show?

Yes, we can host trade shows, our booth capacity is approximately 120- 8 by 10 booths.
